Glazed Pineapple Wedges


  • 2 Tbsp Original or Hot George’s BBQ Sauce
  • 1 Tbsp butter
  • 1 Tbsp apple jelly
  • 1 tsp dark brown sugar
  • Pinch of smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • ¼ tsp lavender buds
  • 1 whole pineapple peeled and cut into 8 wedges



  • Mix ingredients, (other than pineapple), above. Microwave for 3 minutes.
  • Spray grill pan will butter-flavored cooking spray. Place pineapple wedges onto the grill pan.
  • Baste with sauce mixture. Cook on grill until lightly browned and grill marks appear, approximately 3 minutes each side.
  • Sprinkle with lavender buds.

  • 1 tsp George’s Original or Hot BBQ Sauce
  • 1 tsp dark brown sugar
  • ½ tsp lemon juice
  • 1 Peach, halved and pitted



  • Divide ingredients equally in center of each half of the peach.
  • Place under broiler until bubbly.

Heat Me Up Some Apples


3 Medium Apples
3 Tbsp butter (divided)
¼  tsp apple pie spice
1 Tbsp apple jelly
1 Tbsp maple syrup
½ cup George’s Original BBQ Sauce
1 Tbsp dried cranberries


Cut each apple into 6 or 8 wedges. Lightly brown each side in 1 Tbsp butter in a heavy pan.
Heat 2 Tbsp butter and next 4 ingredients in microwaveable bowl for 1 minute 15 seconds, stirring once. Add cranberries. Pour over apples and simmer 8 to 10 minutes. Serves 4.

Double Squealing Pigskin Meatballs

Isn’t it about time you throw something new on your tailgate table that will have your party-goers calling YOU the winner? This double pork pot ‘o goodness will do just that! Ground pork meatballs with some bacon thrown in will kickoff your football season… but be sure to take along some pork skins too, for dip’n in this amazing sauce you’ll have left… we don’t ever want to waste anything THAT good, now do we?

2          pounds           ground pork
8          slices              bacon, cooked halfway (floppy), reserve drippings
1          large              onion
1          large              Granny Smith apples (do not peel)
2          cups                herbed seasoned stuffing mix
2                                  eggs
2          tablespoons  fresh rosemary
1          teaspoon       apple pie spice

SAUCE: (mix all together)
1          16 ounce jar            George’s Original (or Hot) Sauce
1          16 ounce jar apple butter
1          teaspoon       cinnamon

(Fresh) Pork Skins!


Put the ground pork into a large mixing bowl. Throw all remaining meatball ingredients into food processor and pulse until everything is finely chopped and well blended. Pour over ground pork and gently fold together until all incorporated. (Be careful not to over-mix or your meat will get “tough.”) Refrigerate several hours or overnight to let the flavors marry and mixture to firm up a bit.


Once chilled, make meatballs, about 1” in diameter. Heat bacon drippings on medium heat. Brown meatballs on all sides to get a nice “crust.” Remove into preheated crock pot.


Pour sauce mixture over meatballs in crockpot. Exact times will vary depending on your crock and whether you need to cook on HIGH or LOW!   Ladle out some of that rich sauce into small bowl for dip’n the pork skins. TOUCHDOWN!!!

Meatballs can be made ahead and frozen to throw into crock pot with sauce for game day.

Makes about 4 dozen meatballs.

Spicy Bites …with George’s “EVERYthang” Sauce!

Who wants to spend a lotta time in the kitchen this busy time of year? But we do need some quick edibles for hunkering down on chilly days for football or movie watch’n, and once you make this “EVERYthang sauce” to have on hand, you can throw out all sorts of goodies for family snack’n, or to wave your magic wand and have out in a flash when company comes by… this sauce will keep indefinitely in the fridge so make a bunch and keep in a squirt bottle to liven’ us these bites, chicken bites, grilled meats and veggies and even goodies like meat loaf! Who needs ketchup when you have “EVERYthang?”

1          14 ounce pkg. kielbasa or smoked sausage, cut on diagonal into about 3 dozen pieces
pretzel sticks

Heat skillet over medium high heat. Add light coating of oil. When hot, add sausage pieces. Cook on each side about 3 minutes until browned and crispy. Place in serving bowl. Turn these ho hum “somethings” into “EVERYthang” with a quick little drizzle.
“EVERYthang Sauce!”
1          cup                  George’s Special Sauce
1/2      cup                  George’s Original (or Hot) Sauce
3          tablespoons      spicy brown mustard
1-2       teaspoons         garlic paste (tube in produce dept.)
1          cup                      maple syrup
2          teaspoons          black pepper

To make sauce: (just make some of this on a back burner while you’re already in the kitchen cooking!)
Put George’s sauces and remaining ingredients into heavy bottomed saucepan. Bring to boil, then reduce and simmer to reduce by about half to thicken to a glaze consistency. Pour into bottle with squeeze top. Keep chilled until ready to serve. Heat and drizzle over the kielbasa bites… or anything that is just “something” until you want to make it “EVERYthang!”

Makes about 3 dozen pieces.
